Moving in Maroubra
Maroubra is where the district turns into family country: of its seventeen thousand addresses, houses are almost half, the biggest share anywhere on our board. That changes the shape of the moving work, and we size for it.
A different kind of move
North of the junction our week is walk-up flats; in Maroubra it turns into three-bedroom houses with garages, sheds and a trampoline nobody remembered until the truck was half full. House moves carry more volume and more attachments, so the crew steps up to three movers at $350 an hour for most homes, and four movers with two trucks at $500 for the big ones.
